Job Description

A leading Power Distribution business based in Norfolk are looking for an experienced Electrical Estimator to join their team.The business specialise in providing power system support, operations installation & maintenance activities to both the industrial, commercial & renewable energy sectors.As part of your role, youll be involved in:

  • Interpretation of client requirements and proposing suitable solutions
  • Creatively identifying alternate solutions which will benefit the client
  • Estimating costs & project timescales (11kV & 33kV network installation & remedial works projects)
  • Defining project tasks & corresponding materials & resource requirements
  • Producing quotations & bid submissions
  • Obtaining prices from suppliers & subcontractors
  • Attending tender review meetings
  • Carrying out site visits & meetings
    • Suitable candidate will ideally have:
  • A qualification or degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably in Power Distribution (or equivalent).
  • Experience in Private Networks or the Renewable Energy sector
  • Knowledge of substation layout & design
  • Knowledge of relevant and current Health & Safety legislation
    • This is a business critical role and as such, finding the right person is key. You will be expected to work effectively within a team, promote a positive working culture, be able to interpret technical diagrams and explain design ideas clearly, as well as having the ability to analyse complex problems and assess possible solutions.In return, youll receive:
