Job Description

Care Assistant - Community Norfolk/Norwich We are working in partnership with a private healthcare provider who have an excellent opportunity for HCAs to join their team. We are able to offer contracts to suit your needs, be that full time, part time or bank and across what hours work for you.We are looking for fantastic Community Healthcare Assistants to work in our innovative services in Norfolk. If you live in Norfolk or can travel to Norfolk this is perfect. (*your accommodation and travel can be paid).Salary: £19,350 - £21,512Hours: Full Time/ Part Time/ BankCommunity HCA Key responsibilities:As a Community Healthcare assistant, you will be supporting the Health care Team by working flexibly and providing assistant to our team.   • Support the Healthcare Team by working flexibly and providing person cantered care.
  • Participate, under the guidance of a qualified clinician, in the assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of patients in their usual place of residence.
  • Provide health and social care in the patients own home to promote faster recovery from illness, prevent unnecessary hospital admissions, support timely discharge from hospital and maximise independent living.
  • Provide care for those patients who are too ill to look after themselves or be looked after by carers or family members and who would otherwise be admitted to, or have to remain in hospital, but who do not require 24-hour nursing care.
  • Take responsibility for own development, learning and performance by actively following a
  • Programme of continuous professional development and appraisals.
  • Undertake statutory and mandatory training.
  • Keep a record of your training and clinical development activities.
  • Participate in clinical audit.
  • Ensure compliance to HLHC policies and guidelines including, but not limited to, basic life
  • support and anaphylaxis, emergency procedures, confidentiality, consent, capacity,
  • Safeguarding procedures, incident reporting, information governance and lone working.
  • Identify risks involved in work activities and undertake such activities in a way that manages
  • those risks.
  • Support Induction and training needs as required.
  • Skills and responsibilities expected of a Community HealthCare Assistant.
  • Full driving licence
  • Experience working as a Health Care Assistant.
  • NVQ / Equivalent qualification.
  • Comfortable working as a lone worker.
