Job Description

Your New roleHere at National Highways, we currently have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Service Delivery Manager - Maintenance to join our team in Bedford, Cambridge or Ipswich. Within this role you will be supporting Service Manager (Maintenance) with thedelivery of the cyclical and reactive routine maintenance. You will also be responsible for issuing and management of works orders and the resulting costs.You will be required to drive as part of your role and you will need to have a full clean driving license to be considered for this position and during employmentWhat youll be leading on Proactively manage supplier performance to agreed contractual service level agreements, technical, quality and safety standards, including the investigation of breaches of service level targets and service non-availability, with the instigation of remedialactivities Proactively track and monitor the performance of the assigned Route(s) or contract scope (e.g. M&R, DBFO, RTMC), identifying performance trends, risks and issues Analyse the root causes of performance issues and work with Service Delivery colleagues and supply chain to develop and implement remedial action plans Maintain the cyclical and reactive maintenance work plans for the designated Route(s) and ensure the delivery of planned works, tracking all associated costs Ensure cyclical and reactive maintenance workplans are well integrated in the regions overall programme, ensuring customer disruption can be minimised. Manage any changes and the impact of unplanned and emergency works on plans, ensuring risks and dependencies are understood, managed and communicated to all relevant stakeholders.To be Successful Previous experience of highways maintenance Excellent stakeholder and supplier management Understanding of project stages/lifecycles is desirable Good understanding of relevant supply chain contracts Knowledge of health and safety legislation, regulations, working practices and procedures Able to use excel to present and monitor data Soft estates/ arboriculture knowledge is desirable Experience responding to customer queries is desirable Experience of RMMS systems e.g. Confirm is desirableA bit about usMaking sure our customers have safe and reliable journeys is at the heart of everything we do in Operations.
