Job Description

Our client, Hughes Insurance is one of Northern Irelands largest insurance brokers and biggest brands in the market offering a wide range of insurance products at competitive prices while delivering best in class customer service.Hughes Insurance was established in 1977 and was bought by Liberty Mutual Insurance Group in 2014.It remains a standalone brokerage with the Senior Leadership Team and Board of Directors maintaining autonomy in its decision making, whilst keeping connected with and leveraging the scale of the group.With a people centred culture and strong set of core values it is no surprise that Hughes Insurance has been externally recognised as a Great Place to Work and was the first company to receive the Healthy Place to Work Certification in Northern Ireland.The Company is now seeking to appoint a talented Finance Director; a unique opportunity for a high calibre individual to work as part of the local Executive Team to influence and shape the future direction of an innovative and successful business and deliversustainable profitable growth.Our Client recognises that as well as being technically competent, success in the role is primarily dependent on the Finance Director being an engaging leader, commercially strong, and have the ability to facilitate change and drive multiple initiatives.In addition, the successful applicant will need to have the following skills and qualification:

  • Hold a Professional Accountancy Qualification e.g. ACCA, CIMA
  • Have significant post qualification experience in a senior financial management role within a regulated environment
  • Demonstrable experience of developing strategy and utilising strong commercial and business acumen to contribute to the growth of an organisation
  • Experience of managing, leading and developing successful finance teams.
