Job Description

As the Process Engineer, you will be responsible for improving process flow in assembly, extrusions and other primary processes. Drive automation implementation. Use Lean principles of Flow, TAKT, SMED and Value Analysis to reduce costs.Project manage manufacturing associated projects including new factory layouts. Support new product introductions with cost analysis and prototype development.

  • Develop alternative production methods using Lean tools and techniques
  • Support and drive automation and robotics implementation
  • Design factory layouts, fixtures, tooling, materials handling equipment etc.
  • Establish plant and equipment investment requirements, quantifying the return and justifying expenditure
  • Value engineering of products and processes to reduce costs
  • Design manufacturing processes for new products as part of the new product introduction process
  • Create drawings and concepts using a variety of software including CAD, Solidworks, and Microsoft
  • Problem solving, root cause analysis and effective critical spares inventory database.

  • Experience of project management
  • Proven experience of improving productivity in a professional environment
  • CAD / Solidworks desirable
  • Lean Green Belt Six Sigma course desirable
  • Degree qualified or relevant experience
