Absolute is operating as a recruitment agency for the supply of permanent and contract opportunities.Our Newport based customer is recruiring a UK Logistics Coordinator to join them initially on a 6 month fixed term basis, possibly longer.Primary Purpose of RoleTo be part of the UK spares team to support the logistics group in handling all aspects of global shipping, stock control, order processes and sales invoicing.Key Behavioural CompetenciesThe successful candidate must have excellent communication, organisational and customer interfacing skills. In addition, have a flexible approach to work responsibilities, enabling both independent and team working. Be very data driven and understand the importanceof customer satisfaction.Key Responsibilities:Ensure the timely dispatch of customer orders and create commercial invoices for shipmentsSupport upgrade & back order shipmentsSupport with resolving Import & Export issuesEnsure picking and packing documentation is correct for 3rd party warehouse receiptResolve inventory discrepancies between ERP and 3rd party warehouse softwareConfirm logistic commercial invoicing and charges are correctSome scheduled weekend spares supportImplement procedural changes for continuous improvement.Skills and Experience:The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the ability to problem solve to meet business demands. Have a mindset of continuous improvement to drive process change. Have experience in the use of Microsoft office applications and have a good knowledgeof an ERP system and its operation would be desirable.QualificationsHNC or an equivalent qualification or with relative experience
