Job Description

Lead Automation Tester

We are seeking a Lead Automation Tester to join our forward-thinking organisation, where IT services are pivotal to our national and international operations. This role offers the chance to work with the latest cloud technologies, including AI and ML, andto contribute to the technical strategy of the department. You will be leading a multi-disciplined squad, mentoring team members, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality IT services. Day to Day of the role:
  • Work within a multi-disciplined squad using various technologies to build enterprise-grade services.
  • Take proactive accountability for the squad’s assigned deliveries.
  • Mentor and coach team members to foster a culture of excellence.
  • Investigate, diagnose, and resolve system issues.
  • Contribute to the technical strategy and participate in formal line management duties.
  • Develop and mature skills in a core role and extend to skills typically aligned to other roles.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in delivering technical solutions as part of large projects.
  • Leadership or management experience within a squad of test engineers.
  • Familiarity with data models and cloud technologies such as Azure.
  • Proficiency with API Automation tools, including MS Visual Studio with C#, Selenium, BDD, SpecFlow, MSTest, and RestSharp.
  • Experience with source/version control technologies such as Git.
  • Excellent understanding of automation testing frameworks/libraries such as Selenium, BDD, SpecFlow, and RestSharp.
  • Experience in web services, REST, and writing SQL statements.
  • Experienced with modern delivery models such as Scrum and Agile.
  • Advocate of DevOps principles with a deep understanding of architectural principles such as SOA and Micro-Services.
