Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Analyst to work on a temporary basis to covers a period of sickness and extra workload.Client DetailsMy client is a well respected and established leader in their field. They are part of a global business who excel in providing "best in class" products to their clients. They have a site backed near Newport and offer hybrid working.DescriptionThe Financial Analyst is joining a well established team that supports the wider business. This Financial Analyst will be responsible for reporting financial information within the European Operations. The position is to support the current team of threepeople and report to the Finance Controller. The Financial analyst role is focused on Inventory, Costing, Profitability, SOX, annual plan, auditing of ongoing projects, internal reporting (Sales, SRP) and ad hoc financial analysis/queries.Day to day duties will include;

  • Close Month End within 3 day deadlines
  • Product Costing
  • Inventory Reporting and Analysis
  • Support daily reports requirements to management team.
  • Support Internal controls of processes and procedures.
  • Support Sales Team with data analysis
  • Support the construction of forecast and AOP information.
  • Provide high quality support service for management on all aspects of finance, combining accounting and business management.
  • Provide timely, accurate and concise management reports supporting profit and loss statement, balance sheet, cash flow as well as business unit reports knowledge.
  • Support plant Finance Team in all activities related to SOX compliance and remediation of any identified issues.
ProfileA successful Finance Analyst should have:
  • A Qualified or QBE Accountant
  • Minimum 2 years experience in Finance, Audit, Financial planning or Management Accounting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to respect tight deadlines and work under stress.
  • Ability to drive changes across businesses.
  • Constantly looking for improvement opportunities and make sure that things get done in the right time & quality.
  • Good Excel Skills, and wider accounting package use - Oracle would be an advantage.
  • Strategic thinking structured and a fast learner.
  • A natural drive to achieve results and a business-driven mindset with the capacity to link details to the holistic picture.
  • Value own responsibility, fast pace, teamwork and straightforward communication.
Job Offer
  • initial 6 month temporary role.
  • An estimated hourly pay rate of £20 to £25 per hour PAYE
  • 37 hours a week
  • Half day finish on a Friday
