Job Description

Systems Integration Engineer - Outside IR35 Systems Integration Engineer required to develop and maintain complex systems using engineering disciplines to deliver customer and end user focused design services.Delivering within the Applications team the contractor will carry out system integration with hardware & software components within the System, define & execute test cases, and carry out problem solving to identify defects and provide assurance & acceptanceevidence for the system.Typical activities will include:

  • Create Technical documents for any tasks/projects involved with (design docs, requirement specifications, test plans, test reports, product release notes etc.).
  • Support Defect Management Lifecycle activities at both the Product and System Level; includes raising informative defects with valid steps to reproduce, conducting in depth defect investigations and contributing to the defect sentencing.
  • Lab management and re configuration - Fill radios, encrypt, image, building etc.
  • Adhere to Lab teams GFE Process(Government furnished equipment)
  • Use Case development.
  • Requirements Elicitation and Analysis.
  • Present at progress reviews and key Programme milestones, to both internal colleagues and to external stakeholders
  • Liaise with cross functional teams and specialist engineering areas including. Safety, Security and ILS, to develop and deliver quality working software solutions.
The successful candidate will have the below skills/experience:
  • Experience of working through the Systems Engineering Life cycle.
  • Experience of using engineering methodologies and tools to manage requirements (DOORS), architecture/design (PTC Integrity Modeler), system integration and test (HP Application Lifecycle Management) at an appropriate level of detail is desirable.
Desirable but not essential:
  • Experience of Model Based Systems Engineering SysML/UML/System Modelling etc. Deriving design artefacts (such as use cases, sequence diagrams, Interface Control Documents and specifications), at the System-Level and Product-Level is desirable
  • Experience working in the field of Security Engineering is desirable
