Job Description

Quest Search & Selection are proud to partner with a commercial B2C, multi-site business.The role of the Senior Merchandiser to support the Head of Merchandising in overseeing the long-term planning, trading and increase sales outcomes.Duties & Responsibilities for this Senior Merchandiser position:

  • Utilising data-driven approaches to optimize the sales volume and profitability across designated product segments.
  • Assisting in the formulation of budgets per category, option count, and depth of procurement, aligned with the overarching business and financial objectives of the company.
  • Managing stock levels based on weekly sales and incoming stock quantities (WSSI).
  • Lead a Merchandiser/Junior Merchandiser level
  • Evaluating sales predictions of performance and taking appropriate measures in response to forecast changes.
  • Analysing and tracking the performance of both top-performing and underperforming products and providing well-informed recommendations for necessary actions.
  • Suggesting promotions and reorder strategies when deemed necessary.
  • Providing the Head of Merchandising and the buying team with essential data to facilitate well-informed decision-making and planning.
  • Contributing to procedural enhancements and departmental growth.
  • Staying informed about current and emerging best practices in the merchandising and buying and offering recommendations to the business through the Head of Merchandising when appropriate.
To be successful in this Senior Merchandiser position:
  • Ideally having 4 + years experience in merchandising with high street retailer.
  • Ideally you are operating at a Merchandising level or above
  • Fashion experience is ideal but not essential
  • That you had led a small team and have management experience
  • Proficient in using Excel formulas.
  • Strong analytical and strategic mind.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to in-house forecasting tools and systems
