Job Description

DevOps Engineer - Senior up to £51,000 / Lead up to £68,000- Hybrid (1 Day a Week in Newport)The OpportunityYolk Recruitment Public Sector & Not-for-Profit team has partnered with a unique Civil Service Organisation who are presently undergoing an interesting transformation into the cloud space.We are supporting them to recruit several DevOps Engineers, who will take the lead on the new dashboard the organisation are building. This will be built on a microservice basis, and will require good pipeline building experience.What the DevOps Engineer will be doingYou will be designing, releasing and implementing automated and repeatable delivery pipelines in Azure DevOps. You will be working heavily with containerisation as part of this.

  • Build efficient custom delivery pipelines
  • Support all aspects of the software development lifecycle
  • Contributing to technical decisions and directions in a collaborative team environment
  • Lead delivery, integration, administration and configuration of DevOps tools
What the successful DevOps Engineer will bring to the teamYou will be an excellent communicator, who is adept at data analysis, synthesis and development. You will be innovative with your ability to build and programme and have a high level of technical understanding so that you can advise on others.
  • Experience using Azure DevOps
  • Containerisation knowledge e.g. Docker
  • Strong understanding of DevOps principles
  • Proven experience implementing CI/CD tools, including pipeline design and administration
