Job Description

Senior FPGA EngineerNewport (on-site with an option to condense to a 4-day week)6 MonthsUp to £650 per day via Umbrella company.What will be expected from you:

  • Analysing requirements, specifying and documenting the FPGA solution and work breakdown
  • Preparing FPGA architectural and detailed designs and documentation
  • FPGA design generation, verification, implementation, and integration
  • Customer liaison, by representing Clients Defence and Space on project-related technical matters at Stakeholder meetings.
What we are looking for in you:
  • Ideal candidate will be experienced in FPGA design & implementation for communications equipment or equivalent.
  • FPGA development process knowledge.
  • Recent design experience of devices from the following suppliers:
    • Altera
    • Microsemi
    • Xilinx
  • Proficient in the use of VHDL
  • Proficient in the use of at least one simulation tool
  • Proficient in the use of at least one FPGA synthesis tool
  • Good understanding of requirements capture, and of work package definition and estimation.
