Job Description

Our client is seeking a Regional Operational Excellence Leader for their EMEA region. Reporting to the Global Director of Operational Excellence, the role will work within a matrix structure, leveraging best practice and supporting various stakeholders andsites to achieve their short-term and long-term business goals.Client DetailsA global leader for the design and delivery of highly engineered products. With a significant global footprint of 29 locations, they have a substantial workforce and are renowned for their high-quality products and commitment to operational excellence.DescriptionAs the Regional Operational Excellent Leader, you will :

  • Collaborate with Business Unit SVPs, Directors of Operations, and site Operational Excellence Leaders to facilitate year over year growth and operational improvement through the development, and execution of business initiatives and strategic continuousimprovement plans.
  • Drive cultural and operational change through the facilitation and training of individuals in lean methodologies and the use of the continuous improvement tools (i.e., Six Sigma, standard work, Kanban, JIT, Cellular Mfg, VSM, 5S, Pareto, SMED, TQC, etc.)
  • Provide project leadership, mentor team members, and ensure projects remain on task and are completed in line with project timelines.
  • Provide technical guidance and facilitate problem-solving methodologies (i.e., Six Sigma methodologies & Lean Tools).
  • Assist with improving site and regional group business results through the development, implementation and improvement of the organisations operating systems.
  • Directly manage strategic cost improvement projects to drive improvement in process metrics, targeted financial benefits and upgrading of company supporting systems. Assist sites with maintaining site monthly cost improvement funnel reporting and ensuringsite savings projects stay on track against targets.
  • Implement regional and site specific strategic KPIs and measurement systems to determine manufacturing performance and capabilities.
  • Evaluate and measure the impact the operating system is making on the business results, adjusting the support as needed to ensure business result improvements.
  • Ensure best practice is shared across sites, regions, and the wider organisation.
  • The role will require the post holder to travel/work between 60-80% of their time, at various sites and locations within the EMEA region. There may be a requirement to travel internationally on an occasional basis.
ProfileA successful Regional Operational Excellence Leader EMEA will be:
  • Degree qualified in an Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field.
  • Accredited Six Sigma Black Belt training with demonstrated project management skills and project realisation and success.
  • An experienced Operational Excellence or Continuous Improvement professional with demonstrable experience gained in Engineering or Manufacturing environments.
  • A self-starter and strategic thinker who drives change and is accountable for its success.
  • Organised and self-sufficient.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Someone who is not comfortable with the Status Quo, always wanting to challenge norms.
  • Someone who inspires others for Operational Excellence.
  • Someone who ideally has previous multi-site or regional responsibility.
