Focused Recruitment are currently seeking a number of production welders within to join our clients manufacturing site in the Blackwood area.Hours of workThese roles are working initially days & afternoons moving to three shift thereafter.Days - 6am - 2pm - Monday to Thursday. 6am - 12.30 on a FridayAfternoons - 2pm - 10pm - Monday to Thursday. 12.30pm - 7pm on a FridayNights - 10pm - 6am - Sunday to Thursday.Duties - Flash/Butt Welding duties (Weld components in flat, vertical, positions)- Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly, using straightedges, combination squares, calipers, and rulers- Lamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind or bolt component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding.- Set up, and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade, such as shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding equipment.- Must be able to work from manufacturing drawings.To be effective in this role you will you will have the ability to read drawings and to use measuring equipment.
