Job Description

As the Maintenance Manager you will ensure the site maintenance function provides a pro-active and reactive, multi-skilled maintenance service on all operational equipment and facilities infrastructure. Responsible for planned scheduling creation and overseeingthe adherence and timely completion of work carried out.Client DetailsMy client are a global manufacturing group with their South Wales manufacturing plant based on the outskirts of Newport.DescriptionAs the Maintenance Manager you will be responsible for:Ensure the site maintenance function provides a pro-active and reactive, multi-skilled maintenance service on all operational equipment and facilities infrastructure. Responsible for planned scheduling creation and overseeing the adherence and timely completionof work carried out. Increase the site operational effectiveness, improve on project delivery, mean time between failure and downtime reduction, and manage and implement improvement plans, driving Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) ensuring that Health, Safetyand Environmental requirements are adhered to.ProfileAs the Maintenance Manager you will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • Educated to minimum of HND in an engineering discipline and/or time served apprentice with a proven history of self-development post qualifying
  • Previous experience of leading and managing maintenance teams
  • Ideally already trained to IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent
  • Previous experience of carrying out risk assessments in the workplace and documenting safe working procedures
  • A proven history of fault finding to source and implementation of corrective actions
  • Project management skills
  • Knowledge and experience of Electro-mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and robotic systems
