Acorn is pleased to announce we have been appointed as the Recruiter of choice for a prestigious award-winning client who are seeking Line Operators for their business.The role will initially be based in Mamhilad for the first couple of weeks, moving over to their new site in Llanwern once opened in the next couple of weeks.The ideal candidate will have experience within the steel industry, excellent communication skills and an exemplary punctuality record. The successful applicant will be responsible for operating production line equipment, finishing products and reporting anyissues to the Team Leaders or Senior Supervisor. Your core duties for our client will be: * Working on production lines, operating machinery/equipment in an efficient, safe and productive manner to a high standard* Assembling safety-critical products, ensuring 100% accuracy* Assembly of medium to heavy components candidates will need to be dexterous* Must be able to properly use and understand the required measurement equipment including tape measures and other tools as required by specific jobs* Experienced in the use of hand, power and air tools and rivet guns* Maintain a clean, safe and organised work environment* Must operate and perform at speeds necessary to meet production demand* Must be able to bend, reach, and stand for 8 hours* Hand and eye coordinationThe desired candidates will have: * Ideally, candidates will have previous experience within assembly/production and able to follow written and verbal instructions clearly* Knowledge of health and safety in the workplace is essential* Able to work to targets/production KPIs & production schedules* Be able to work as part of a team* Previous relevant manufacturing /production experience* Knowledge of health and safety in the work placeHours of work:* Two-shift rotation* Monday - Friday (Mornings 6am-2pm, Afternoons 2pm-10pm) * £11.10 - £13.13 per hour* 40 Hours per weekBenefits:* Weekly Pay* Paid Holiday* On-site Parking* Weekends OffAcorn Recruitment Ltd is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
