Job Description

SUMMARYReporting directly to the IT & Infrastructure Manager, the IT & Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for managing the operation, development and security of the Groups IT & Infrastructure network. Working closely with the IT & Infrastructure Manager on projects to ensure all elements of IT and Infrastructure provision within the Group are aligned with the operational, technical and business needs.PURPOSE* Identify, develop and deliver best fit systems based on understanding of existing and future business requirements to required budget and present to the IT & Technical Team* Maintain system security to a recognised standard* Management information KPI and reporting* Support the company wide operation to maintain 24/7/365 working hours of all systems and functional 9 to 5 back office* Manage the Groups IT network infrastructure and implement up to date solutions across the IT infrastructure estate to ensure that IT and Infrastructure provisions meet the Groups current and future requirements* Maintain knowledge of key technological advancements in their field and present to the IT & Technical TeamKEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEGENERAL* Educated to degree level or equivalent* Relevant experience in a previous IT/Technical infrastructure/engineering role* Developed people skills* Focus for detail* Strong team player* Previous ISO 27001 or equivalent framework standards experienceESSENTIAL* Proven and demonstrable experience in supporting IT Infrastructure to include but not limited to networking equipment, telephony, cloud-based networks, security, hardware and software* Proven and demonstrable experience in developing existing hardware and software to meet the business needs and in finding, researching, testing and developing new hardware and software* Experience of working with different service users at all levels and communicating effectively with them* Experience of managing IT & Technical staff and working in a Team* Experience of customer relationship management* General commercial awareness of impact of client requirements before and after implementation* Extensive knowledge and proficient in the use of:Microsoft Windows Servero Microsoft Office suite of productsJOB078/DT/14032022/v1 - Publico Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy Managemento LAN,WAN, internet/intraneto Firewall, anti-virus and cyber security infrastructure (Sophos/Cisco)o Virtualisation and cloud technologies such as VMWare/Hyper Vo Cloud based telephony and dispatch productso Hosting products such as Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, Rackspaceo VOIP/SIP Telephony technologieso Google Workspace (G Suite)o Project management toolso SNMP Monitoring softwareo Domain/DNS managemento Website managemento Printer managemento SQL servero Linux server / Open Source solutionso Client/Server monitoring toolso VPN/Secure network communications protocolso Network administration of routers, firewalls and switcheso ITIL Environment* Proven experience in monitoring and managing the relationship/support agreements with 3rdparty suppliers* Proven experience of successfully managing work queues and hardware/software rollouts* Proven experience of leading a team of direct and in-direct stakeholders to deliver projects and system upgrades* Focus for detail* Project management skills* Strong team player* Proven ability to deliver effectively on time and within budgetBy applying to this advert you are giving CPS Group (UK) Ltd authority to hold and process your data for this specific role and any other roles we may deem suitable to you over time.
