Job Description

We are working with a highly regulated Public Sector organisation who are recruiting an Affordable Housing Officer to provide support for the delivery of affordable housing, through:

  • monitoring and reporting on the development process for affordable housing units delivered through the Welsh Governments Social Housing Grant or other funding programmes or via s106 planning agreements
  • tracing the development and delivery of individual units of affordable housing from funding source to occupation
  • collating and analysing information for the appraisal of s106 proposals
  • supporting the financial management of grant programmes
  • compiling performance information and completing performance returns
  • collating and analysing information on housing to support the production of the Local Housing Market Assessment, Local Housing Strategy and other strategic documents
You will have
  • Experience of compiling statistics, analysing data
  • Experience of carrying out research and writing reports
  • Able to work with different IT systems, to input data and produce reports
  • Good numerical skills, able to interpret data and compile statistics
  • Aptitude for investigating issues and carrying out research
  • Be well-organised, methodical, good with detail
  • Good communication skills, able to write reports, take meeting minutes and present information in a variety of formats
The salary on offer is c£25,000 whilst this is predominantly a WFH role you would be required to come to the office on occasion, the office is based in Newport City Centre.If this could be for you then please apply.
