Job Description

A respected homelessness charity in Wales is recruiting for a passionate and skilled support worker to join their Domestic Abuse provision in Newport. This provision delivers expert, specialist and independent domestic violence and abuse services to womenand families, in order to successfully empower and support victims.This role will require you to work closely with victims of domestic abuse, working with women and families across Newport who are living within supported accommodation. Managing your own case load, you will ensure each client receives the appropriate serviceindividual to their needs, empowering and supporting clients in order to help them regain control of their lives.You will work in partnership with external agencies, helping them access services and providing advocacy, emotional, and practical support, to ensure the safety and security of families affected by Domestic Abuse.The floating support role is a hybrid role which can be part worked from home and all IT equipment will be provided. Please note, this role may require some project cover when needed.This role provides an exciting opportunity to work for a commended, value led charity that is proactive in its approach to domestic violence.
