Job Description

Economic and Business Statistics Analyst£25.36 Per hourINSIDE IR356 Month ContractFull Time - 37 hours per weekRemote - possible office work hybrid expected in Newport, Wales or Titchfield, Hampshire offices.My client are a large prestigous government organisation and are looking for a Economic and Business Statistics Analyst to come and join their team on an initial 6 month basis, paying £25.36 per hour, Inside IR35.Requirements of role:

  • Technical skills and experience
  • Three years experience in a research, analytical or policy development role
  • A working knowledge of economics or statistics
  • Critical thinking - Proven ability to think critically and to challenge the status quo.
  • Forming judgements - Proven ability to analyse evidence from a range of sources to form judgements and draw conclusions, including in the presence of only partial or conflicting evidence.
  • Effective communication - Proven ability to communicate complex issues with brevity, accuracy, and impartiality, and adapt communication so others can understand.
  • Written communication - Proven ability to write for a wide range of audiences including technical and lay audiences and produce comprehensive and clearly written briefings, ideally with experience of having been published in academic journals or equivalent.
  • Work-load management - Proven ability to work under pressure, and under your own initiative, on a range of parallel projects and apply sensible judgements on when to draw on wider support.
  • Working with others - Proven ability to work effectively in a team, including being an effective communicator and supporting colleagues as needed, and engage sensitively with a range of people, seeking views and experiences from a diverse range of people.
