Job Description

Director of Golf, Spa and Leisure Newport £71,400 + 14K bonus +AccommodationWe are looking for a Director of Golf , Spa and Leisure to work at one of the most prestigious resorts in the country. The resort offers three world class championship golf courses, four retail outlets, leading golf academy, two spas, two leisure clubsand a range of activities and generates a combined turnover of £10m. We are keen to hear from candidates who have worked at a similar level and comparable property with a deep understanding and passion for golf and the management of a large and discerningmembership base with a programme of high-profile competitions, corporate and society golf days. You will be working as a senior member of the resort management team and you will be encouraged to create and implement your own long-, medium- and short-term strategiesacross the division. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading, coaching, developing and inspiring your heads of department and team members to deliver an incredible customer experience.
  • Coach your leadership team to develop their departments to deliver their products to maximise participation, aid retention and improve the bottom line.
  • Work closely with sales, marketing and revenue management teams to develop their strategy to drive occupancy, new member sales and events.
  • Full financial accountability; profit and loss, income, expenditure, debtors; helping set the budgets and business plan.
  • Ensure the courses are leisure facilities are maintained to exacting standards.
  • Support with any new CAPX developments
In addition to a competitive basic salary of £71,400, the position offers an annual bonus potential of up to 20%. There is a wide range of benefits including private healthcare for the family , healthcare cash plans ,critical illness cover , an 8% CompanyContributory Pension Scheme and 35 days annual holiday including bank holidays. Support with accommodation can be provided in the medium term for candidates who are looking to relocate.Interviews are immediately available.
