You will have experienceof line management (or be ready to take this next step in your career), as well as having strong technical experience in one or more of Java, .Net, Jenkins, Azure DevOps pipelines and good experience of working within a DevOps or iterative development culture.You will have line management responsibility for all engineers within the Existing Systems DevOps team, as well as liaising with other team leaders in the department to plan and prioritise the teams work. You will be expected to use your technical experienceto advise the team, set clear technical direction and implement continuous improvement initiatives.What youll bring to the role as a DevOps Team Leader:Technical skills

  • Strong understanding of DevOps principles and experience of working in a DevOps or iterative development culture.
  • Excellent knowledge and proven experience implementing continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) tools, including pipeline design and administration
  • Experience with automated testing and embedding this in CI/CD pipelines.
  • Demonstrable experience in service support including troubleshooting and incident resolution.
  • Experience in identification and tracking of risks and issues.
  • Experience of knowledge sharing and mentoring junior members of the team.
  • Experience in leading a team or group of colleagues to meet a defined goal.
  • Strong scripting skills in one or more of the following:o Windows Batch / Powershell / Bash
  • Substantial experience in administration and configuration of Azure DevOps Pipelines (preferred), Jenkins or other CI/CD orchestration tools.
  • Substantial experience supporting the build and deployment of one or more of the following:o Java / .Net
  • Experience in managing and supporting one or more of the following source control tools:o Git / SVN / TFS /
