Job Description

Role Overview:Reed are partnered with a large employer in the South West, whose South Wales facility in Newport is looking to add an Contract Manager to their team as a result of growth.Reporting into the IT Commercial Management function, the role will have very closeliaisons with the IT Service Delivery Managers as well as commercial and contract functions.Duties:

  • Initially this will involve understanding the comprehensive catalogue of IT contracts and services available, focusing on enabling customer-facing, outcome orientated services and contributing to the IT team’s aim to be a service orientated organisation.
  • The Contract Managerwill have responsibility towards managing the contract life cycle of the IT contracts, which includes the negotiation of terms and conditions, changes and modifications and the enforcement of performance clauses, including penaltiesand incentives.
  • Managing a wide range of contracts within the function. Currently 6 primary partners with 80+ underlying support vendors, consisting of:
-93 different suppliers comprising 150 separate contracts, products or service lines.- 6 Contracts worth circa £10m per year.Desired Expeirence:• Experience working with a diverse partner eco-system providing infrastructure, application management, application development and software services• Working from small value to multi-million-pound contracts• Experience in setting up contract management processes• Utilities Experience, though alternative experience, and an appreciation of the nature of delivering IT services into a 24/7 emergency service business would be advantageous.• Minimum five years experience negotiating and managing contract life. cycles, with an emphasis on technology and/or IT service agreements.
