Job Description

Full and Part time roles availablePay Rate: £10.00 per hourJob Description and ResponsibilitiesAs a Support Worker at our Newport DCA you will work with people who have varying degrees of learning disabilities as well as mental health issues. Your aim is to promote their confidence and independence and support them to lead a fulfillinglife. This will be incorporating in both therapy based activities and social based activities.Some of the activities we do are:

  • Swimming,
  • Cinema
  • Bowling
  • Day centres,
  • Arts and crafts
  • Volunteering
  • Shopping
  • Building independent skills i.e. meal prep
  • Cooking
  • College
Throughout a typical day, youll help our residents with the everyday challenges. Crucially, enabling them to carry out tasks, chores and hobbies that most people take for granted but are really meaningful for your client. Youll be out and about, enjoyinglife together and no single day will be the sameWe are expanding our team and looking for genuinely caring and hands on individuals to join our team of Support Workers.You will be supporting people in their own homes and within the community, assisting them to lead independent and fulfilling lives; the people we support are at the heart of all we do. A big part of your role will be supporting people to do their favouritethings and try new activities.
