Job Description

Opportunity for a chemical engineer to join a well-respected, financially secure manufacturing business that offers excellent working conditions. You will earn a competitive salary and benefits package inclusive of:

As the chemical engineer, you will work in an allocated area of the plant providing day-to-day engineering support to the production team. Duties will include:
  • Plant modifications and improvements
  • Driving, supporting and monitoring improvement programs.
  • Daily and monthly analysis of production data
  • Writing and updating operating instructions
  • Process control and optimisation
  • Troubleshooting any issues and using techniques such as root cause analysis (RCA)
  • Minor project design and plant commissioning
  • Participation in improvement teams
  • Cost reduction initiatives
  • Incident reporting and investigation

  • A degree-level qualification in Chemical Engineering
  • Experience in a technical or manufacturing environment is desirable (the client will also consider recent chemical engineering graduates)
  • Good project management and planning skills
  • Strong communication skills in both written and verbal formats
