Absolute is operating as a recruitment business for the supply of temporary opportunities.Our international Newport client is seeking a Spares Planner/Administrator to join them on a 2 month initial temporary period with a view to a permanent job at the end of this period subject to the trial period conforming to requirementsYou would be working a 39 hour week - Monday to Thursday 8.00-4.30pm and Fridays 8.00-3.30pm each weekPrimary Purpose of Role:Supporting the regional spares & logistic teams with inventory planning, stock control, movement and department KPI data reporting.Key Behavioural CompetenciesThe successful candidate must have excellent communication, organisation and excel skills. In addition, have a flexible approach to work responsibilities, enabling both independent and team working.The candidate will be data driven with the ability to combine and interpret both financial and inventory disciplines.Key Responsibilities: Produce and communicate the urgent order priority reportsWork with the customer escalations team to deliver on the urgent orders Create supply chain demand to meet customer expectations for urgent ordersEnsure global inventory levels meet the organisations KPIs for business levels Assist in the management of resupply of global customer consignmentsAssist logistics with supporting global inventory movements Manage the inventory return program for operations support Support with global data analysis requests Implement procedural changes for continuous improvement.Skills and Experience:The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the ability to problem solve to meet business demands. Have a mindset of continuous improvement to drive process change. Have experience in the use of Microsoft office applications specifically excelto an intermediate level (pivot tables and graphs) and have a good knowledge of an ERP system (SAP desirable) and its operation. Qualifications HNC or an equivalent qualification or with relative planning experience
