Job Description

As a leading independent accountancy practice undergoing continued growth, my client is currently seeking an Audit & Accounts Manager. This presents a fantastic opportunity for a Qualified Accountant who is looking for a professional environment with excellent progression and development prospects.Qualities and Experience Required:

  • The ideal candidate should be a fully qualified Accountant (ACA or ACCA), preferably with experience in Audit and Accounts preparation. We welcome applications from newly qualified individuals up to Senior Managers.
What Can You ExpectIn this role, you will be responsible for:
  1. Audit Fieldwork and Statutory Reporting:
    • Planning and executing high-quality audits in accordance with International Auditing Standards.
    • Coordinating team members to ensure efficient service delivery.
  2. Financial Statements Preparation:
    • Crafting accurate financial statements that adhere to relevant accounting standards.
    • Occasionally providing training to others in this area.
  3. Client Interaction and Communication:
    • Engaging with clients at various levels.
    • Demonstrating exceptional communication skills.
    • Leveraging advanced IT skills and effective project management abilities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Delivering high-quality audits and non-audit services.
  • Preparing annual accounts with knowledge of UK GAAP (including FRS 102).
  • Involvement in forecasting, grant applications, audits, and financial due diligence.
  • Achieving departmental and individual performance objectives.
  • Managing client administration, including budgets, work in progress (WIP), and timely billing.
  • Upholding the highest technical and professional standards.
  • Strategically understanding client needs and key risks.
  • Providing additional guidance and support to clients.
  • Ensuring results delivery and effective client expectation management.
  • Identifying opportunities to enhance client relationships and deliver added value.
