Our client is looking for Shift Maintenance Engineers (Electrical bias) to join the team based at their Fordham site.START DATE: ASAPDURATION: 3 MONTHSINTERVIEWS REQUIREDSHIFT PATTERN: 2 days 2 nights 4 off rotatingDAILY HOURS: 12.25This is for a short term contract starting ASAP. For the first few weeks they will be on days to learn the processes. The engineers will need to provide hand toolsAs a member of the Engineering shift team you will be providing reactive and proactive electrical and mechanical support. You will always be expected to work safely and follow all site safe systems of work including LOTOTO. You will need to be able to work under pressure in a fast-moving environment and carry out fault finding in a competent man Area of responsibilities:- Planned Maintenance, Process Improvement and Capital Projects activities for:- Corrugator- Converting- Despatch- General PlantKey accountabilities:To work safely at all times complying with and using (Safe systems of work, risk assessments and method statements)To efficiently and effectively fault find and resolve technical / process issues To resolve breakdown issues with minimal impact to production To complete all maintenance activities on time as plannedTo provide technical support for capital projects and improvement activity Effectively communicate within and across departments using escalation procedures to manage issues and priorities To comply with company purchasing procedures To comply with stores proceduresTo maintain a clean and tidy work area at all timesTo be a proactive team member To look to improve technical skills and knowledge for self and teamEducation:- Engineering apprenticeship - HNC or equivalent NVQs / City and Guilds- Electrical and Mechanical skillsJob Specific Technical requirement:- Use of workshop tools and equipment- Drive and PLC knowledge with the ability to fault find (S5 and S7)- Use of portable access and lifting equipment- Ability to carry out risk assessments and document method statements = Computer SystemsExperience:Minimum of five years maintenance / engineering experience in a production environmentCompetency:-Technically ability (high level of skill within area of expertise) - Problem solving (high level of ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues through problem solving techniques) - Computer literate (ability to use computers to retrieve and enter information) - Good communicator (good listener with high ability to communicate verbal and written information in English) - Motavation (self-motivated to a high level, ability to motivate others) - Team-working (ability to work with others, to challenge and receive challenge in a constructive way) If this opportunity of interest and you want to work in a fast paced environment please contact Spring Engineering on for more information or alternatively apply.Spring Engineering Solutions (a trading name of Roevin Management Services Limited) acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
