Job Title: Occupational Therapist Specialist Mental Health ServicesSalary: Up to 45K depending on experience/£9,000 pro rataHours: 8 hours 1 day per weekLocations: Cambian Merida- NewmarketThe Cambian Group, the UK’s largest provider of specialist services in education, mental health rehabilitationandlearning disabilities, is looking for a dedicated, caring individual to join the company as a Self-employed Occupational Therapist to carryout Ad-Hoc assessments and make recommendations.Cambian Meridais a new Specialist Mental Health Children Residential Services consisting of 4, five bedded registered children’s homes, and a 2 bedded high dependency provision operating 52 weeks of the year alongside on-site educational support.Merida specialises in caring for CYP who have ongoing mental health needs and challenging behaviours that may prevent them from functioning within the wider community without ongoing support.The Occupational Therapist will support the wider MDT, including psychiatrist, psychologist, Mental Health Practitioner, education and care staff team. We are seeking an experienced OT with CAMHS experience to support CYP to focus on enhancing their motivationto participate in everyday life, to promote the value of occupation and activity to assist in achieving increased independence in life skills, including; problem-solving skills, motor skills and skills in communication and interaction.Essential:BSc or anMscin Occupational TherapyRegistered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC).Registered with COTDemonstrate an interest in service developmentHave alicenceand access to own transport.Be a strong team player.Have excellent communication,organisationaland time management skills.Successful candidate will need to meet the sessional person specification in order to be offered this post.
