Maintenance Engineer /Permanent / Newmarket - salary up to £43KTechnique Recruitment Solutions is a specialist engineering recruitment agency based in Norfolk; we are proud to be working on behalf of our prestigious client based on the outskirts of Newmarket.Maintenance Engineer will be working within a team to inspect, fault find and repair production machinery and company facilities to maintain an efficient, productive, and safe site. Key Responsibilities:· Performing preventative maintenance routines and condition monitoring of production machinery and facilities as per the inspection schedules.· Liaising closely with the Maintenance Supervisor and operations staff in all aspects to ensure efficient, effective, and planned reactive maintenance at all times.· Making safety inspections of tools and equipment.· Diagnosing faults and repairing machines in a safe manner to minimise downtime and cost.· Anticipating machine failures and making such changes or recommendations to prevent re-occurrence and to minimise downtime.· Working to improve reliability and productivity of equipment.· Completing written records of all maintenance activities.· Carrying out maintenance tasks diligently and in good time using appropriate methodology.· Being proactive in identifying and carrying out potential machine upgrades to improve lifespan, efficiency, productivity or safety of the machine and communicating these to the management team for consideration.Maintenance Engineer will have good mechanical experience and electrical skills with knowledge in hydraulics and pneumatics. Knowledge in PLC, inverter, instrumentation, and control experience. The successful candidate must hold a valid UK driving license andhave experience in a heavy industrial environment. Recognised qualifications in engineering discipline, City and Guilds/NVQ3/HNC/ in electrical mechanical. This is a permanent full-time position, 40 hours per week: 14.00 - 22.00, Monday to Friday. There is a requirement to work for a minimum of four hours every forth Saturday, with an element of flexibility to cover holiday or sickness. These hours will be paidas overtime and depend on the level of work available. Salary depending on experience: £40,700 to £43,450, depending on experience + van upon completion of probation.
