Job Description

Maintenance AssistantPermanentNewmarket£30,000 + BenefitsMeridian Business Support is working with one of our most prestigious clients that provides a 6 – star private concierge service to their exclusive customers. Ensuring that the properties they maintain are presented to the highest standard possible. This isnot your standard role you will be working with some of the UK most prestigious properties. This is an exciting role for a talented individual who is looking for a new challenge, wants to join a fast paced and high performing team renowned for their approach and delivery of unparalleled service.Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake general property maintenance & repairs throughout our properties including carpentry, tiling and general repairs to doors, windows & locking systems.
  • Installation & repairs gutters and drainpipe systems.
  • General repairs of basic plumbing.
  • Source materials from local suppliers and manufacturers.
  • Oversee contractors.
  • Provide cover for colleagues in times of absence and on – call assistance.
  • Ensure that all work is completed to the highest standard.
  • Seasonal shift & on call rota.
Person Specification
  • Ability to demonstrate good use of basic hand tools.
  • Knowledge of a building trade i.e., carpentry, door & window locks, decorating, plastering & tiling.
  • Sound numerical ability for measuring and making calculations.
  • Have recognised C&G, NVQ qualifications.
  • Basic knowledge of current Building Regulations.
  • A thorough understanding of Health and Safety standards.
  • A professional approach with particular emphasis on maintaining confidentiality.
  • Full clean UK driving licence.
  • Significant proven experience.
