Job Description

Early Finish Fridays - yes, our client offers this every week!Working for a small electronics manufacturer you will work as part of a team of 7. You will be working on the Pick and Place machine and to be suitable for this vacancy you will have experience of working within SMT or Electronics previously. You will enjoythis role if you have good dexterity and like the opportunity to earn extra pennies through overtime when required! Overtime is not compulsory.Location: NewmarketDuration: PermanentHours: 7:30am until 4pm Monday to Thursday 7.30am - 1pm Friday!Salary: Circa - £25,000 - Overtime paid at 1.5X per hourBenefits: 25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays, Pension, Overtime at 1.5X, Christmas Closure, Christmas BonusDuties:

  • Operate computer-controlled SMT pick and place machines
  • Assemble SMT printed circuit assemblies
  • Read machine error messages
  • Correct placement & printing problems on a modern pick & placement line
  • Adhering to product process times
  • Hand place SMT parts accurately onto circuit assemblies
  • Kit and de-kit SMT placement machines
  • Set up printing programs on automatic stencil printers
  • Check supply angles for component orientation
  • Set screen printer and oven profiles
  • Regular maintenance of machines
Requirements:
  • Ability to read and interpret bills of materials
  • Proven time served experience in Surface Mount Assembly processes
  • Previous experience operating pick and place machine
  • Willingness to learn
  • Ability to adapt and work flexibly
  • Good attention to detail
