Job Description

Laundry AssistantSeasonalNewmarketCompetitiveDedicated to providing a high-quality private concierge service to our exclusive clients. UKME ensures that the properties, we maintain are presented to the highest standard possible.This is an exciting role for a talented individual who is looking for a new challenge, wants to join a fast paced and high performing team renowned for their approach and delivery of unparalleled service.We are looking for a Laundry Assistant to undertake the following duties on a day-to-day basis:Key Responsibilities

  • To provide a fast and efficient laundry service for guests
  • When handling items to be laundered, take care and read labels thoroughly before washing
  • Separate articles according to colour, fabric and the cleaning treatment required, watching for damage and stains
  • To operate the laundry machinery by following Health and Safety and Manufacturer guidelines at all times.
  • Ability to work in a team and work towards the departments goals
  • To be aware of and comply with COSHH rulings
  • Be conscious of and practice occupational health & safety at all times in the workplace
  • To comply with all Health and Safety regulations and be aware of and comply with COSHH rulings
  • To ensure that the folding, counting, stacking and packaging of articles are carried out correctly and appropriately.
  • To prepare items correctly and that they are delivered to the correct property to minimise errors and guest complaints.
  • To maintain the laundry room is tidy and clean at all times
  • To be flexible with working rotating shifts including weekends and bank holidays.
  • To pick up and delivery laundry from properties, ensuring each property is labelled and kept separate.
  • Liaise regularly with colleagues, supervisors and managers to ensure an efficient and effective service is always delivered to the client.
  • Provide a highly customer focused service to the company and client at all times.
  • Any other duties as and when requested.
  • To carry out any other reasonable requests specific to the location of work as directed by management
Knowledge/Experience/Skills/Abilities
  • Available to work flexible rotating rosters
  • Able to work in elevated temperatures
  • Possess valid UK drivers licence
