Job Description

Vacancy DescriptionWe are recruiting for a Guillotine Operator to join our busy manufacturing site in Newmarket. The role of the Guillotine Operator will be to support Guillotine Operators in the operations of all guillotine equipment on site, producing leaflet production ordersto meet customers specifications, whilst maintain high quality levels throughout. This will be achieved by working within the company standard operating procedures to meet customer quality requirements.Duties & Responsibilities:

  • To measure, calculate and set program of guillotine within expected planned time to meet customers specification requirements
  • To operate guillotine to produce volume within scheduled planned time to meet customer delivery dates.
  • To understand, identify and cut all pre-press paper to meet planned print date.
  • To manage "Flat Pack working cell" ensuring all flat pack work is cut and packed to meet customer delivery dates.
  • Assisting the Print supervisor in order to ensure that maximum outputs and efficiencies are achieved during shift.
  • To correctly complete daily safety and maintenance checks for guillotine.
  • Follow procedures as in accordance with the Quality Manual, ISO 9001:2008, PS 9000:2011, GMP and ISO 14001 procedures.
  • Ensuring that all company Health, Safety and Environmental Policies relating to your work area are adhered to by you at all times, bringing to the Production Managers attention any areas of risk.
  • Ensuring that your area, equipment and machinery are kept clean and tidy and in accordance with the relevant procedures during shift.
  • Carry out general duties as directed by the Production Manager
Skills, qualifications and/or experience:
  • Previous Machine Operator experience
  • Exceptional eye for detail.
  • Good team working ethics.
Training will be provided on the machinery used.Shifts: Double Days (Mon-Fri) Am Shift = 06:00am - 13:30pm / Pm Shift = 13:15pm - 20:45pm, potential overtime available. This role will attract a shift premium of 20%.Essentra is built on diversity.
