Job Description

Robert Half are partnering with an Newmarket based SME who have a need for an immediately available Assistant Accountant to join the business and support the Head of Fnance across a variety of responsibilities within the finance department. This is indicativelya 1-2 month interim assisgnment with the possibility of being extended.Assistant Accountant responsibilities

  • Completing financial reports on a regular basis and providing support to the Finance Manager and information to the finance team
  • Assisting with budgets and forecasts
  • Assisting with financial analysis and trend reporting
  • Completing bank reconciliations
  • Entering financial information into Intact, our computer system
  • Managing company ledgers ensuring strong processes and procedures are in place
  • Overseeing business expenses
  • Assisting on external audits
  • Overseeing day-to-day transactions with the rest of the Finance team ensuring accuracy
  • Reporting on debtors and creditors
  • Handling accruals and prepayments
  • Managing monthly budgeting tasks
  • Encoding accounting entries for data processing
  • Resolving errors in financial reporting and correcting faulty reporting methods/processes

  • Full driving license
