Job Description

KM Recruitment is a specialist UK wide recruiter for the Skills and Employability sectorsJob Title:ArtTutor (Trainee or Qualified) (Trainee or Qualified Tutor opportunity) Location:West Suffolk - Centre based Salary:£20,000(take home) Type:Part Time, 24-hours per week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday) Essential Criteria:

  • Hold - or be willing to work towards - a Level 3 Teaching qualification (PTLLS/AET or equivalent).
  • Hold a Level 2 qualification in an Art / Design / Creative discipline.
  • Experience of delivering training to groups
  • Demonstrableenergy and passion to motivate and train clients.
  • Ability to overcome challenges and support learners to progress.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Demonstrate confidence, tenacity and ability to work on own initiative.
Duties include:
  • Teach/assess learners working towards a vocational qualification in Art Skillswithin a classroom-based environment.
  • Ensure sessions are motivating,engaging and develop learnersskills knowledge and behaviours
  • Monitor student attendance and progress through regular student assessment and reviews.
  • Provide advice and guidance to learnersrelating to decision making and progression.
  • Embedding of Maths and English into sessions.
  • Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs.

  • Organisational skills are a must, as well as the ability to plan your time effectively
  • Confident and professional with the ability to inspire and motivate people
  • Quality driven and prepared to go the extra mile for your learners
