Ours is a 24 hour a day operation and candidates willneed to be flexible and able to work out of hours as required. As well as working across our UK-based locations, International travel may be required for project delivery.The RoleWe are currently seeking an experienced Windows Systems Infrastructure engineer to join our Infrastructure Team on a 10 month fixed term contract. As a Windows Systems Infrastructure engineer you must have a deep and broad knowledge of Microsoft computerplatforms and should be able to communicate well in both verbal and written form. A solid technical background in Windows Server Administration is required as primary responsibility for this role will to provide tier 3 support to the existing windows infrastructure.The Windows System Infrastructure engineer reports to the EMEA Infrastructure Manager as part of the Technical Operations Team. The positions primary role is delivering short term projects and agile solutions. There may also be a requirement to support theEMEA Service Delivery team during heavy project load.The role will involve but is not limited to:

  • Deliver solutions in adherence to the EMEA infrastructure sustainability programme and conforming to NRFs project methodology.
  • Supporting the 3 year sustainability roadmap to maintain NRF environments and platforms to ensure we have a safe, secure and stable platform to deliver new innovation
  • Creation of technical documentation and provision of education/knowledge transfer for IT and Level 1 and 2 teams.
  • In cooperation with the Security team, implement and maintain data security best practices in infrastructure solutions
  • Must be a hands on and proactive person who is able to work with minimum supervision
  • Ability to work with and manage 3rd party infrastructure support vendors.
  • Any other reasonable duties requested by the EMEA Infrastructure Manager.
A strong working knowledge of the following is essential:
  • vSphere 5.5 upwards
  • Site recovery manager
  • Building ESX hosts using scripted install (kickstart scripts), Physical and Virtual Servers
  • HPE Server infrastructure Knowledge, including blade chassis and connectivity technologies such as virtual Connect.
  • Active Directory, GPO and GPP configuration and management.
  • Experience in troubleshooting technical problems involving software, operating systems, and hardware (where applicable).
