Job Description

We are recruiting for a Weekend Team Leader to join our Stannah Stairlift manufacturing facility in Newburn.As Team Leader you will be responsible for ensuring workload priorities are understood and communicated effectively to the team. Reporting to the Area Manager, you will coordinate daily output and team priorities.Working hours are Friday, Saturday and Sunday 6am to 6:30pm.You will need to be able to manage a team, building a multi skilled workforce and supporting individual development.Responsibilities:

  • Ensure workload priorities are understood and communicated effectively to the team through start of shift briefs.
  • Ensure output complies to the sales order requirements.
  • Keep Area Leader informed of progress of agreed daily targets.
  • Identify root cause of unplanned downtime and work with the Area Leader to facilitate a permanent solution.
  • Identify skills gaps within the team and work with the Area Leader to facilitate a strong multi-skilled work-force.
  • Train as per required, following the training plan.
  • Deliver the objectives as agreed with the Area Leader; develop a team culture of ownership and empowerment.
  • Assist the Area Leader in ensuring all required data is collated within the required timeframe.
  • Assist in root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
  • Take responsibility for the existing processes
