Job Description

User Researcher (Outside IR35!)£475 Per Day - 6 MonthsNewcastleEssential CriteriaYou will be an experienced user researcher, familiar in using a variety of methodologies and proven ability to:

  • Apply user-centred service design and delivery practices and put users first in a government context.
  • Choose appropriate methods for different life cycle phases and situations.
  • Engage different disciplines within multi-disciplinary teams with a good research process and involve teams in analysis to increase consensus and challenge assumptions.
  • Research diverse audiences to create accessible digital services
  • Convince stakeholders to take a user-centred approach, based on evidence.
  • Understand the wider implications and long-term impact of business issues and activities.
    • Desirable Criteria
  • Experience in managing research operations, including; participant recruitment, procurement of services, and providing guidance and operational support to other researchers.
  • Experience of taking a leading role in developing communities of practice and improving collaboration between researchers across an organisation.
  • Experience of coaching and upskilling team members and supervising the work of others.
  • A degree in HCI/Usability/Cognitive Psychology/Anthropology/Human Sciences or related field, or relevant industry experience.
