MTrec’s New Opportunity;MTrec are proudly representing our precision engineering client, based in Newcastle, who are looking to recruit a skilled Turner to their growing organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for machining the company’s products to very exactingtolerances for supply to their customers in the oil and gas industry. The company’s lathe operates on a part manual, part automatic basis and so those with both manual and some CNC experiences are encouraged to apply. As this is a small company, you will workclosely with all members of staff in a dynamic and varied environment and should expect to play a significant role in driving continuous business growth. Possessing Milling experience alongside Turning will be a significant advantage to applicants.   • Turning to very exacting tolerances. Involves both manual and automatic processes.
  • Operating Harrison Alpha lathe and XZY milling machines.
  • Some bench fitting duties.
  • Inspection of goods received.
  • General workshop maintenance.
  • Adhering to company health and safety policies.
About you;
  • You must be a Turner with manual experience, ideally with some CNC experience too.]
  • While predominantly a Turner, you should have Milling experience as well.
  • You may be from any precision engineering background.
  • A multi-skilled operator, with an aptitude for machining and a willingness to develop your skillset. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop as a multi-skilled operative.
  • Flexible and hard working.
  • An excellent communicator who works well in small teams.
