TRUST DOCTOR IN NEUROSURGERY (ST1-2)REF. 317-TD-21-110We are delighted to be able to offer an opportunity for a highly motivated, ambitious individual to join our well-integrated team.The post is to commence in April 2021 for 12 months.This post offers the successful candidate the opportunity to gain skills in all aspects of the management of patients with acute and elective adult neurosurgical conditions. Successful candidates will be expected to assess and manage, with support of their seniors, patients presenting to the neurosurgical department at the Royal Victoria Infirmary. Candidates must be able to work as committed multidisciplinary team members, and be able to prioritise their workload.The successful candidate will be expected to attend the weekly teaching sessions, including journal club, as well as outpatient clinics and theatre sessions. Opportunities also exist for research and audit projects.As per the guidance from the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh), this post is not eligible for the Medical Training Initiative Scheme. To be considered for this post you must be able to obtain GMC registration without Royal College Sponsorship.
