Job Description

Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a UK leading Environmental and Engineering Consultancy in the hire of a Planner or Senior Planner for their Newcastle office.This consultancy houses a successful development planning team is supported by in-house master planners, environmental, transport, engineering, and stakeholder engagement teams. The team works throughout the UK with major landowners, local authorities, infrastructureproviders, utility and energy companies and housebuilders and developers. Their projects are often high profile and the leading edge of professional practice.The key responsibilities of this role will include the delivery of planning applications and EIAs involving multi-disciplinary technical teams, and the input of technical advice into infrastructure projects of national significance. You will have the opportunityto win your own business and you will play an important part in the growth of the team into new service areas.The skills and qualifications desired in a candidate are:

  • RTPI accredited degree (or equivalent) in a Town Planning related field of study.
  • Ful member of the RTPI.
  • Previous experience within private consultancy.
  • Experience of working on EIAs.
  • Ability to develop new client relationships.
  • Confident and persuasive with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Full clean UK driving licence.
