Job Description

Test Automation Engineer (Rest Assured, SOAP UI, Postman, Jira, Cucumber, SQL) Up to £49,666 plus 27.1% pension, hybrid model with home working, flexible hours, investment in your skills and lots moreAre you an experienced test automation engineer Use your passion and skills to help shape our vision and deliver real value to millions of users of critical products and servicesDWP. Were working on how DWP share and re-use citizen information as part of a once-in-a-generation change.Transformation on this scale means lots of testing. We support vulnerable people, and deal with a uniquely large volume of citizen information, so its really important we get it right. Our Testers use automation and leverage the best tools for the job tohelp us do that.What skills, knowledge and experience will you need

  • API testing (public facing, internal REST APIs) automation tools like Rest Assured, SOAP UI, Postman or similar.
  • Experience in the development of automated test suites and tools including Java, Cucumber, SQL or similar.
  • Experience of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery - Methodology and tools e.g. GitLab, concourse or similar.
  • Experience in collaboration tools like Jira / confluence or similar.
  • Knowledge of testing principle to be used in Microservice architecture or similar.
  • Experience in the Cloud-based testing e.g. application hosted in AWS / Azure or similar.
