We need people to help us shape the future of our data landscape, drive forward our data strategy and help deliver our digital bankingambitions using cloud technologies. All of this while keeping the bank safe.What would my day look likeAs a Technical Lead youll be working within an established team to provide direction and leadership. You will be the go-to person for data engineers to guide them in the best way to solve problems centred around data. You will work with an awesome teamof Designers, Senior Data Engineers, Data Engineers, Architects, and Analysts to help to promote and implement best practice principles throughout the project lifecycle. Working alongside Delivery Managers you will work on projects that deliver data led solutionsfor business areas across the bank. Continuous improvement and automation of the DevOps pipeline will also be part of the role, working with the service manager and support team to ensure smooth transition of the deliveries into production. As part of DataSolutions you will be a driving force on our journey to our cloud hosted data platform which is the foundation of our digital bank.Whats missingTo be brilliant we need someone with strong leadership skills, a strategic vision, and the ability to build strong business relationships. As an engaging individual you will enjoy building relationships and have the gravitas and confidence to work effectivelywith all levels across the business. You will also need to show a passion for data engineering and a knowledge of big data platforms and large scale data transformation programmes.   • Experience in data engineering including a background in traditional data warehousing/databases
  • Experience of working in a Cloud environment (AWS, Azure)
  • Experience of Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, MapReduce, HIVE)
  • Solid technical background building data pipelines with an ETL tool
  • Experience of processing large amount of data
  • Solid experience with continuous delivery principles, version control and automated data tests
