Job Description

Tech Client Engagement DirectorHaving enjoyed a strong 2021, including significant VC investment, our client is a world-leader in the development of software services and platforms used mainly by construction companies and architects in the design and management of buildings and infrastructures.The company is looking to expand its team with a key hire, a Tech Client Engagement Director, to work with its partners which develop enterprise applications.Working via a mostly indirect channel to market, as Tech Client Engagement Director you will work closely with client partners from initial inquiry through to building a customer-facing solution. Collaborating strongly with the companys CEO, CTOand product and marketing teams, your responsibilities will include:

  • Own the partner relationship from initial inquiry through to a production ready solution built on the companys proprietary platform
  • Work with the CEO and marketing to understand partner and customer challenges, interpret partner requirements and deliver partner solutions that will drive end-partner success
  • Act as a key point of contact for partners CTO and technical stakeholders; this will involve inputting into the partners technology roadmap, advising on development areas, technical troubleshooting, attending partner steering committee meetings etc.
  • Collaborate with colleagues during the pre and post-sales phases to develop, manage and grow partner relationships with a focus on technical aspects (i.e. technical presentations, training, consultations and best practices)
  • Be an expert on company offerings and technical capabilities; partner with sales teams to recommend and up-sell the wider product and service portfolio
  • Advocate for partners needs and improvements with internal product and partner engineering teams that will benefit partners customers; highlight issues, trends and opportunities for integration enhancements
  • Working in tandem with R&D, partner engineering teams and systems integrators, to provide partners with technical and solution architecture guidance ensuring their solutions can integrate effectively and securely with the proprietary platform
  • Develop integration guides and best practices to accelerate platform adoption, improve time to-revenue and deliver a great partner experience
  • Maintain subject matter expertise on marketing technology and SaaS / PaaS trends
As Tech Client Engagement Director youll need:
  • Strong commercially-focussed, Client/Customer facing experience gained delivering in Client facing software services, Technology Platforms or Developer Programs in Tech or Professional Services
  • A background in a Sales Engineer, Enterprise Architect, Software Architect, Developer, Support or Business Analyst role highly advantageous
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent in a quantitative major - Marketing, Engineering or other STEM subject also attractive
  • Excellent ability to interact with sales/partner business leads and technical stakeholders, translating complex needs
  • High standards of technical knowledge around software development life-cycle, technology and process (esp. B2B SaaS and mobile applications eg Open APIs, OAuth, Web front-end and mobile development frameworks) with a proven track record of solving complextechnical problems and providing an excellent customer experience
  • A passion for customer ecosystems and businesses; youll enjoy staying informed about industry advances and new innovations in the space
  • Excellent communication skills including experience in technical writing
  • Outstanding organizational and planning skills - demonstrated ability to work with complex cross-functional teams, prioritising multiple projects simultaneously in a rapidly growing and changing environment
  • An enthusiastic, can-do attitude - youll enjoy working with partners, creating solutions and innovating in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in the AEC (architecture engineering and construction) sector, or exposure to Digital Twin, IoT and Asset Management technologies beneficial
Benefits and rewards:
  • Salary up to £80,000 per annum plus benefits (share options (3 year vest to 125% of salary (to c.£30k/annum equiv.), plus pension and more)
