Job Description

About the role Balfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity for an Systems Support Administrator to join our Payroll team within Employee Services based in Newcastle. What youll be doing

  • To support the success of the BBUK HR/IT systems pipeline by delivering Oracle R12 HR/Payroll change.
  • Working closely with the service delivery teams to plan and deliver key project activities and smaller ongoing enhancements; actively managing risks and assisting in issue resolution.
Project support
  • Support the delivery of key projects by working with the relevant teams on solution design and system configuration, requirements gathering and documentation, stakeholder engagement and delivery of change.
Enhancements
  • Working collaboratively with the team on the prioritisation and delivery of ongoing R12 HR/Payroll enhancements, including defining requirements, SIT and UAT testing, updating procedures and training out changes to the delivery teams.
Testing
  • Manage the end to end user acceptance testing process to support large scale projects and smaller enhancements.
Service delivery
  • Track day to day activities and project deliverables and effectively reprioritise where required. Complete activities within required timelines and to a high standard. Manage requests within SLAs.
Building Partnerships
  • Work closely with the HR Ops teams to ensure system impacts are considered as part of any change activity and that the teams are supported in terms of systems knowledge. Build effective working relationships with key stakeholders in IT and the wider HRteam and represent the Systems team at meetings and forums as appropriate.
Who were looking for
  • Business analysis and process improvement skills to identify and drive opportunities to enhance HR systems, processes and master data.
  • Funcational and/or support experience in Oracle R12 Payroll and HR modules and the desire to develop skills and expand knowledge.
  • Experience of delivering small scale projects including defining requirements, producing documentation, test planning and route to live.
  • Ability to assimilate information quickly and accurately, be well organised and cope well with managing a dynamic workload with changing priorities.
  • Ability to use knowledge, facts, and data to effectively solve problems in an efficient manner.
  • Reasonable level of understanding in Excel to carry out data manipulation and validation.
  • Flexible approach to work, a team player with a proactive work style, track record of successfully prioritising work and managing time effectively.
  • Comfortable in a senior team environment chasing up others to ensure deadlines are kept to.
  • Process driven with attention to detail and focus on continuous improvement.
  • Good written and verbal communication, facilitation and negotiation skills
