Job Description

PURPOSE OF JOB:We require an experienced commercial office and retail site lead with a good understanding of project & construction activities involving workplace removal and/or installation of furniture fittings and equipment (FF&E).Understanding programmes, floor plans and having excellent planning and attention to detail skills not only to ensure timeline completion of projects, first class service, maximising profit and sustainability goals, but all undertaken within strict Health& Safety compliance requirements.Strong communication skills, logical, attention to detail with a personal determination for all site activities to be undertaken to the highest standard - is a must!This position will involve you in physically undertaking both FF&E audits (utilising in-house software) and site surveys through to working with the Project Teams preparing for project target start date and managing the on-site activities and teams duringthe programme.You will work closely with both our Workshop Manager and Sales & Donation Manager to understand, and become familiar with, furniture ranges, individual client retention item requirements and best practice re-use avenues.OTHER INFORMATION:Basic 40 Hours a week working any seven days of the week; however, excessive hours over and above will be given off as time in lieu.Company mobile phone and laptop will be issued for work use only.Reports to: Senior Management TeamPROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:Essential:Previous experience within either the FM, Furniture or Move Sector is ideally required.SMSTS (preferable), otherwise you will be expected to undertake the course and exam.Health and Safety legislation knowledgeI.T. literate including Microsoft Package.Proficient in picking up in-house software programmes as this will form a big part of the position.Personal Attributes:Well organised with great attention to detailPresentable and professional approach as client facingMust have a driving licenseEnergetic individual with an outstanding work ethicHas a can do attitude.Determined to deliver first class service to our clientsOutgoing, flexible, team playerProfessional, charismatic, and sociableAbility to deal with all levels of staffAbility to multi-task and prioritiseGood communicatorMAIN ACTIVITIES:Responsible for all aspects of Project from planning to completion.

  • Initial Site visit to review all FF&E and operational requirements and report ie; building access, loading areas, lift, transfer route etc
  • Undertake full audit of FF&E assets located within the building using bespoke company software, ensuring accuracy of information recorded, to include condition, picture, details of items etc
  • Working with Workshop Manager and Sales & Donation Manager become proficient in assessing and capturing asset information to make recommendations regarding most suitable re-use opportunity.
  • Ensure without exception, full H&S compliance requirements and reviewing with H&S Manager risk areas that may impact the project along with collation of all RAMS
  • Working in conjunction with internal teams to ensure clear and accurate operational planning
  • Strong Site management skills
  • Able to effectively supervise and direct site operatives
  • Maintain during projects the updating of accurate information and recording of site activity to ensure that the project is running to programme and deadlines met.
  • Ensure all FF&E assets are classified correctly at time of uplift and details updated as required, in accordance with GGMS ethos; Client retain, Client reuse, Sales & Donations, Internal re use or zero to landfill recycling.
  • Ensure that all FF&E assets are correctly labelled, dismantled and protection wrapped to ensure safe transfer.
  • Working with internal Sales & Donation teams to manage S&D collections or deliveries.
  • Ensure that the onsite team are, without exception, correctly utilising and updating through projects the tracking of all items via the in-house software programmes
  • Manage the loading team to maintain safety standards along with correct loading techniques.
  • Conduct final sign off with site team to ensure scope of works is completed, before signing off the project with the client representative
  • Internal project debrief meetings and lessons learnt reporting
