Signalling TechnicianNewcastle Upon Tyne £37,900 Per Annum 7 days a week Full Time PositionPerks: 25 Holiday Days + Bank Holidays | Pension Scheme | Employee Assistance ProgrammeA Public Transport and Local Information company is looking for a skilled Signalling Technician with experience of maintenance and fault finding of railway signalling equipment and systems. This role calls for a true team leader who has the ability to takecharge and has knowledge of good shift work. You will need to convey excellent troubleshooting skills and have attention to detail while possessing a good understanding of railway technologies.Making public transport great for the environment, economy, and communities around them, the company is constantly working to evolve the way people move, creating the travel networks people will want to use in decades to come. They require a candidate withstrong communication skills and who knows how to diagnose issues, perform preventative maintenance, work with hand tools, and comply with safety procedures.Some key duties of a Signalling Technician:

  • You will be responsible for the maintenance.
  • Diagnose technical faults and repair of all signalling equipment and systems.
  • As well as install all company signalling equipment.
To be considered for this position, youll need:
  • Valid drivers licence is essential.
  • An ONC or equivalent in Electronics / Electrical Engineering is required.
  • 2 to 3 years in a similar role.
