Job Description

Central Employment is proud to be working alongside one of the market leaders within the Ed Tech industry. If you are passionate about SEO and are seeking an established team within a stable organisation, then this could be for you!This role is vital to our clients Content and Communications Team, with a clear remit to drive organic growth in traffic by ensuring that partner microsites rank highly in organic search results.The main responsibility is to ensure that our digital content answers queries, adds value and provides an optimal user experience. The role is to combine an understanding of search engines, web development, and broad marketing concepts to positively impactour microsites with traffic from search engines.You will relish working with data and use it to ensure work is prioritised and opportunities identified. And for this passion you will be rewarded.Key Responsibilities:

  • Support all existing sites and their regular updates
  • Run the SEO strategy, identifying and fixing technical SEO issues
  • Work on technical SEO elements mainly within HubSpot CMS to optimise website performance, overseeing crawling, indexing, sitemaps, schema markup etc.
  • Maintain site maps, toxic URLs, develop and implement link-building strategy
  • Monitor and interpret shifts in rankings, site performance and industry performance through keyword research and competitor analysis
  • Audit websites, identify issues and opportunities, and work to resolve using web analytics data to evaluate work and provide recommendations for improvements in content, user experience and conversion
  • Report on current performance (impressions, clicks, conversions, traffic and channel performance) and make recommendations
Key Experience:
  • At least 12-18 months in a SEO based role
  • Knowledge and experience of the Google Suite including Google Search Console and Google Analytics
  • Understanding of SEO techniques
  • Experience in using technical SEO tools such as Semrush, Screaming Frog and Hotjar
  • Understanding of UX design, usability and CRO
  • Expert knowledge of on-page and technical SEO
    • Crawl audits, indexation, accessibility, keyword research
