Senior .NET Developer (Remote Working)Our client is a world-leader in the development of software services and platforms used mainly by construction companies and architects in the design and management of buildings and infrastructures. The business, headquartered in Newcastle upon Tyne, is looking to recruit to the newly created role of Senior .NET Developer. You will join its staff and clients, located around the world, providing the trusted platform for thousands of partners and projects and maintaining the company’s open source toolkit.As Senior .NET Developer you’ll be a key member of the product development team, reporting directly to the CTO, helping build and enhance the company’s core proprietary cloud platform, enabling its partners to create the next generation of services powered by building information modelling (BIM) data and 3D graphics.With openness, independence and freedom to innovate within a highly collaborative team, your key responsibilities as Senior .NET Developer will include:· Responsibility for delivering high quality, scalable, tested, cloud-based software services using C# .NET Core/5, Azure and EFCore· Striving to innovate, automate and continuously improve how we develop, release and manage software· Bringing high standards of detail and software design skills to the team· Developing solutions to complex challenges· Supporting the creation of simple, integrated documentation for 3rd party developersAs Senior .NET Developer you will need: · Strong cloud-based software development and engineering skills and practices using C#, .NET / .NET Core· Solid experience in .NET stack, EF / EF Core, ASP .NET Core· Microsoft Azure - PaaS components· Relational Databases (E.g. AzureSql, SqlLite)· Familiar with Git, Continuous Integration and unit testing practices· Excellent communication skills (fluent in English, additional languages a bonus)· Excellent problem solving and numerical skills· Comfortable working independently· UK based with flexibility to travel to the Newcastle head office occasionally/as required and when permissible by lawAdvantageous skills and knowledge include:· Azure DevOps or other CI / Release Management tooling· Knowledge of Open API (NSwag/Swagger) and OAuth2/OIDC technologies (e.g. IdentityServer)· Experience of OData, GraphQL or similar· Non-relational Databases (Azure Storage, CosmosDb etc)· Azure Functions or similar "serverless" technologies· Experience of modern web front-end technologies such as Angular, React or VueIn addition to the above you’ll also get opportunities to work with:· Azure Durable Functions· Infrastructure as Code technologies (ARM templates, Terraform etc)· WebGL and Geometry / 3D Graphics technologies· The company’s open source toolkit and related BIM technologiesBenefits:· Excellent salary· Flexible working hours (around 10am-3pm core hours)· Support for remote working (and post-Covid Travel budget for team meets)· 25 days holiday per year + UK bank holidays· Budget to "choose your own kit"· Personal training budgetPlease note: High levels of interest mean we will only contact you if your application is shortlisted and this will happen within five working days.
